GEN FULLERTON as Zelda
Choreographer - Ain’t She Sweet
Gen (Geneviève) Fullerton is a Toronto-based dancer, educator, choreographer, actor, and composer. She began dancing at the age of 4 and taking piano lessons at age 5, and went on competing in both disciplines and earning several awards as well as certifications (RCM, RAD, BATD, TDC, PAA). She is also a graduate from the Randolph College for the Performing Arts. She has been and still is a member of various tap dance companies and professional collectives (What’s On? Tap!, Toronto Rhythm Initiative, Bringing Tap Back, Sisu Dance Projects) as well as a founding member of Vintage Taps! Furthermore, she is a founding educator of the Tap Dance Centre Syllabus and became an examiner in June 2019.
With nearly 20 years of training and experience in dance education, Gen aims to share her passion with students by inspiring joy and creativity. Her choreography has been featured in various theatrical productions, dance competitions, and even at the World Dance Championships (Team Canada - IDO) in Germany. She is also proud to be a faculty member at Metro Movement, where she has the pleasure to further experiment with theater tap as well as bring a rhythm tap influence to the musical theatre scene. She has also been performing professionally for well over a decade. Some of her favourite credits include: HAIR, Match Girl (original work devised by Tool Kit Inc.), Dance Ontario’s Dance Weekend, Eastern Canadian Tap Conference, Toronto International Tap Dance Festival, Moving Soundscapes (Dianne Montgomery & SymphRONica), Toronto Burlesque Festival, several performances the Toronto Rhythm Initiative, and of course, The Laundry List (TO Fringe 2019).
Gen is THRILLED to be a part of The Laundry List again in this amazing remount alongside her good friends and talented cast mates, and she hopes that you’re ready to meet Zelda even if you have already — because Zelda has evolved and is certainly ready to meet you! ;)
